Did you know that most Japanese names have meanings?
1)TOYOTA= TOyo+ta= rich*+
**=豊田＝トヨタ=とよた
2)HONDA=HOn***+TA=+
＋＝本田＝ホンダ＝ほんだ
3)MAZDA=MAtsu+TA=
+＝松田＝マツダ＝まつだ
Even if you have not studied Japanese at all, you know some Japanese words from Japanese makers:–those 3 makers founders named their company’s name from their family names.
1)TOYO*rich is old Japanese so is difficult to use now.
た**Ta and da appears all of them because <ta=tambo>was one of the most important thing especially for old Japanese.
<Ta> <da>mean rice field. We use same kanji and same kana–the only difference is tenten=”–Can you find a pair of short diagonal diacritical mark upper right of third letters called kana?
Can you find a Chinese character<田>in it?
We call the rice field<たんぼ＝TAmbo>(mbo is a kind of suffix. Aka-mboo is a little bit old Japanese.We use aka-chan word these days.)
EX.あっ！た(んぼ)が あります！！
A! taMBO GA ARIMASU!! Oh!There are rice fields!!
田 appaires very often in the family name like,,,
秋田あきた=North prefecture famous for dog,rice
山田やまだ=The most typical name for us
森田もりた=Sony’s president
川田かわた／かわだ=my best friend’s name
高田たかた／たかだ=Biggest mail order company
中田なかた／なかだ=Famous soccer player
田中たなか=previous prime minister
If you have chance to call them,add <san>after their name.
2)ほん***hon=Meaning in this case is <original> or <real> .
“ほんとう？＝honTOO?” means “really?”in Japanese.
If you want to say this phrase in your office,add”desuka? after”hontoo”
※Read a book in HONDA.
EX.（これは）ほんです。
(Kore wa)hon desu.=This is a book.
ほんとう(ですか)？！
hontoo(desuka)? REALLY?!

And also matsu is a verb short form <to wait> in another kanji＝待つ.
まつを まつ
MAtsu o matsu.I wait for pine tree.
But it’s difficult to use short form so use below one.
Ex.ちょっと まって ください。
Chotto matte kudasai. Wait a moment,please.
4)SUZUKI is also family name of founder.
SUZUKI=suzu+ki=

すずきSUZUKI comes from suzunari no ki.
Suzunari no ki is right photo.Does right one resemble left one?

Jingle bell(s),jingle bell(s), suzu ga naru♪
なるmeans make sounds–in this case <jingle>.
We use short form in the songs(98%).
かみなりが なる。
Kaminari ga naru.=Thunder makes sound–Gorogorogoro
